If any of you are ever in LA (for a special event or otherwise) you are all welcome to come jam at my house. I have drums, piano, several guitars, a fender bass (no upright, sorry), a trumpet, tap shoes and a PA system for the singers.

I play alto sax pretty good, I can sight read most stuff, but I'm just starting with improv. Swifty and I will soon form a trio with Poke Alex on guitar and take the world by storm.

Well I played clarinet and all saxes back in Junior High and High school. I even earned a scholarship from the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society back then. Unfortunately it's been many years since I picked up a horn so my chops are quite a bit out of shape.

so we have 4 Dj's from Seattle who play clarinet (if we include Travis) - I think we should work up something for the exchange just for laughs - Gary and Joon can play behind us - 4 clarinets and 2 drums.....

Sounds good, as long as we name it the "Train Wreck Stompers" or maybe "Joon Krupa and His Disintonated Quartet."

I'm a classically trained upright bass player myself.. also been considering trying to find a pickup jazz group here in Vancouver.

Between Seattle and Vancouver I'm sure we can get a few good groups going.

Trombone. It was '77 I think. I was getting pretty good when I decided to play basketball. All jump and going hard to the hoop. No left, no outside j. Should have stuck with the trombone.

Can you slap the bass? We heard a guy yesterday playing slap style, featured on none other than the tune "Slap That Bass". It sounded pretty cool, it would fit in well with the Train Wreck Stompers.

I have sung in various things (non Pro ) for about 15 years or so.

Can play piano and guitar badly.
