Looking for Connie Mclean

#1 Post by funkyfreak » Wed Jan 28, 2004 2:35 pm

I'm looking for information on Connie Mclean and his Rhythm Boys. Velma Middleton was a singer for the group briefly, but I don't believe she would have recorded with them. I've only found reference to three records and one vinyl they appear on:

I Can't Use That Thing
Shylock Blues
Sissy Man Blues (Mixed Artist Compilation)

Connie McLean and his Rhythm Orchestra on Bluebird B-6482. The A side is "High Falutin' Stomp" (Ray Durant) V C by Alex Miller and the B side is "All I Want In This World Is You" (Bill Woods) V C by Alex Miller and Chubby Wright. The fine alto sounds like Tab Smith.

Any more information is appreciated!
