I was wondering if anyone plays any music by any of the following Kansas City territory bands:
Bus Moten and his men
Julia Lee and her boyfirends
Walter Brown
Tommy Douglas
Tiny Kennedy

I play this Julia Lee compilation, Snatch and Grab It, 1944/49
The most popular cut is "I didn't like it the first time"
The song was also featured on the Risque Rhythm CD and I have heard that it is on some Benny Carter CDs.

I enjoy her 2 disk set "Kansas City's First Lady of the Blues"
I'll play any tune off of them, excellent and highly recommended.

I ask because I found this awesome cd set. It's out of print. I found it at Amobea records in LA, selling for $24.95 used.

I also play stuff off of this two disc set that I downloaded from EMusic. There is no info for this set in allmusic.
Kansas City: Swing, Blues, Jive & Boogie - AVID Label
and
Kansas City: Swing, Blues, Jive, Boogie
There is no designator for which is disc 1 & 2.

I've also downloaded songs off either of those two discs. I also have Risque Rhythm somewhere, and that's probably what I play the most.
