This is on my "to buy" list. I won't find everything when I go to Amoeba, but I'm hoping. Note: I rarely buy things online. No good reason, just one of my peccadillos (read: immediate gratification).

Some of these I want to track down more than others. The Woody Herman "Apple Honey" was a smokin' song I heard on KKJZ. I want the Armstrong because it's one of my favorite songs. Most of the other jazz were recommendations.

Hell, I have no control over myself (or too much). I buy everything the minute it pops into my head. I can't keep a list more than a week.

We had a lot of fun with the Footloose soundtrack at ALX last year. That is where you can get the Bonnie Tyler tune, go for the 15th anniversary edition with the bonus tracks.

Too bad Julius had to cancel on us.

Note to those offended by the playing of Footloose music at a Lindy Exchange: One of the most popular ALX traditions is the Mr. Sinus theater screenings, in 2002 we showed Dirty Dancing, in 2003 it was Footloose, 2004 ?

Let me painstakingly say these are CDs I want to OWN, not DJ from. Having said that, I really like the Bonnie Tyler song.

The entire discussion of good vs. bad music is actually an interesting one, although done to death. I personally draw a distinction between music that is bad and not fun listening to, and music that is bad and yet still entertaining. There are plenty of really bad songs with really catchy melodies in the history of music.
