That isn't Louis Armstrong next to the young lady (Lil Hardin?), is it? Armstrong joined the band in 1922 I think- and this might be earlier...

I think you're right; Armstrong played 2nd coronet and he wasn't that tall....so does anyone know if that's Lil hardin; was she that much younger than Arstrong when they married? She looks like a kid...
I'm trying to find some early poster-sized images of Armstrong; any suggestions?
