Yeah, I know the Airport over there is the Louis Armstrong Int'l Airport. But the fact that they play all Satchmo's songs is still very cool!

Talking about Preservation Hall. I was sitting by an oldtimer local over there during a break and told him that I was about to request some Duke song. He looked at me on a weird way and told not to bother because they only play traditional New Orleans Music. I thought that it was really cool. Thank God he saved me from the embarassement.

Talking about traditional NE music, I picked up a CD by Sweet Emma, she use to be the leader of the Preservation Hall Band. She was a pianno player till her 80's. When she died they had a bid Jazz funeral for her. Her music is Really good stuff (not very danceable, but good listening). Make sure you spend some time talking to the really onld Jazzmen, they have amazing stories to tell.

Yeah man, I was impressed when I was at the NO airport. Only time I ever heard good music at an airport, haha.

Oh yeah, and it was rad stuff like the Hot Five too, not Hello Dolly!

I've got two CDs by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band from the late 80s early 90s (I think) and they are pretty good if you are into New Orleans style early jazz.

Lindy gras is gonna be good, I can smell it from here.
