George Gee Swingin' in Zurich

Is it good to pick up? I saw the track list and it has some covers that are on some of his prior CDs, so I'm not sure whether to get it or not.

Suggestions are welcome!

Thanks,
Terry

I definitely recommend it. Blues for Hoss' Flat alone is worth it...I love that song, and this is a killer, laid-back version with some nice breaks and wonderful sound quality.

He does a faster version of Bill Elliot's Streamliner which is fun, and a beautiful, slow Soul Serenade. His other standards are classic in-the-pocket Basie-esq (in a good way) arrangements. All the songs are very danceable I've regularly been playing 1-2 songs a night from it since I picked it up in Nov.

Hope you like it :)

I just had it yesterday night from Alan who was in Paris, and I love as well "Blues In Frankie's Flat" as it is much more relax than the other versions I have.
Splanky is as great as ever.
