Blues: free association

#1 Post by Yakov » Sun Nov 30, 2003 6:32 pm

[the idea here is to make for a looser "brainstorm" of music ideas, different from other threads... maybe something different will come of it... maybe not.]

people grinding on each other at 3 am while others look on in horrified fascination

*crickets chirping*

Actually I would like to DJ a blues set someday. While burning down music for late night at memories I ran across lots of nice slow music -- far too slow for LA.

But why free-association? That always leads to inanity. Just make people list good stuff.

There is a fantastic blues song on the Lawrence Brown CD. Uh, I forget the title. Something like "Down the Corner Blues", but longer than that.

I'll have to go back and look at my "blues" folder.

Why don't you send all that stuff to me. It should be perfect for San Diego. Of course, I guess I could just get it all from Ron.

It's easy to sit there and say you'd like to have more money. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.

When you use the words "free association" you kinda open yourself up to the serious response and the inane alike. :)

wouldn't it be better to give it to rueben so he can use it to defeat
ron in the next dj battle?
