Peabody Music???

#1 Post by TacomaTony » Wed Nov 12, 2003 11:41 pm

Hey there, I posted this on Jive Junction as well then realized this might be a better place. Does anyone on here have an example of Peabody music?
"Fostered by a stylized form of poular music called ragtime........is written in 2/4 time and should be played at a tempo of 60-64 measures per minute...."

Thanks,
TT

Peabody is a dance. It's like asking "what is west coast music".

From the description you gave I would assume you dance it to ragtime or early jazz (try Dixieland).

OK, Let me be more specific. I know Peabody is a dance and not a Style of Music. Does anyone on this board have a specific example of 1 or more songs that would be considered "typical" or "good examples" of Peabody music. Or, if someone were to come up and request a song to dance Peabody to, what would you play?
