Maybe somebody's already posted about this: I don't have much in the way of details about this, but it looks like there's a comp of Cats & the Fiddle tracks that got released on Oct 21. It's available for < $13 online. It's got several tracks I hear at events from time to time, including Gangbusters.

Are you sure you're not confusing them with The Delta Rhythm Boys? I don't think I've ever seen a recording of "One O'Clock Jump" by The Cats & The Fiddle.
From purusing the track listing of
We Cats Will Swing for You, this compilation spans a good deal of their career, though it is heavier on the early stuff (1939-40) which is the material I prefer anyhow ("Gang Busters", "We Cats Will Swing For You", "Public Jitterbug No. 1", etc...). Looks like a good deal!
For more extensive collections of their material you'd have to go with the pricier compilations on DeeJay:
-
Killin' Jive: Complete Recordings, Vol. 1 (1939-1940)
-
Hep Cats Swing: Complete Recordings, Vol. 2 (1941-1946)
-
Start Jive Talkin': Complete Recordings, Vol. 3 (1947-1950)
The first of these three is the only one I've really gotten into, and like I mentioned above, most of the tracks I like from there are on the "We Cats Will Swing for You" compilation. So if the sound quality is decent, go for it!

I have Vol. 2 of that series, and I definitely like it. "Stomp Stomp" is cute. I haven't gotten around to picking up the other volumes, yet, though.

I just got it a couple of hours ago. Listening over decent headphones via a crappy sound card on my work laptop, the sound quality is still pretty good. The noise level seems to be pretty low, all things considered. All recordings are mono. All in all, I'm pretty happy.
As for the pricier collections, I'll have to wait till my collection is a bit more robust. This CD will have to do for now.
