I just catalogued Earl Hines Chronogical 1937-39 today; I really dig the last half of the recording with XYZ, GT Stomp, and the piano solo stuff.
I envy you!

I bet in most scenes if you played "Go Daddyo" you'd get a jam. :D

I think a good song for jam circles is "In the Mood" by Glen Miller.

It's easy to sit there and say you'd like to have more money. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.

"Cotton Tail" and "Woodside" are played as much as they are for a reason: They're freaking good. They will never be played out, but it's better to dig a little deeper and find something that doesn't get as much play.

I don't share my jam circle tunes because people rip me off so often, but my favorite Jam Circle tune is the song "Look at Me, Look at ME, Look at ME!!" featuring the 1940s vocalist "Emma Showhoff."

The best jam tunes were written in the 30's and rarely if ever feature a vocalist. Nice try though.

Your sarcastic quip also makes you sound bitter about not having anything to bring to the table in the dancing department.

Come, tears, confound;
Out, sword, and wound
The pap of Pyramus;
Ay, that left pap,
Where heart doth hop:

Thus die I, thus, thus, thus.
Now am I dead,
Now am I fled;
My soul is in the sky:
Tongue, lose thy light;
Moon take thy flight:

Now die, die, die, die, die.
