I picked up this 2-CD set for the Charlie Christian tracks, not realizing that one of the discs was Joe Venuti & Eddie Lang. I had never heard of them, but now I think their music is very interesting. Does anybody here spin their stuff? If so, which CDs? Thanks.

Though it's not from Venuti and Lang's "classic" 20s period, I like "Fiddlesticks" from 1933. Bummer that it's not on that set though. :? It's a rad song.

I think my favorite track from this disc is "I've Found a New Baby." It starts off quite slowly, then kicks into high gear with plenty of minor intervals.

Here's what I'm talking about (I don't give or take mp3s illegally, so I've ripped only the first 30 seconds to use as an example). Boy, I enjoy that track!

Wow, I like that track because from the little bit I heard, it sounds like something with violin that you might want to do a few swingouts to. That's pretty cool.
