The Blues on CBC Radio One

#1 Post by BryanC » Mon Oct 06, 2003 2:59 pm

CBC Radio One and Two are broadcasting their 14 part radio documentary on the Blues (though, it's week 3 of 14). It's a chronological history from the Mississippi Delta to present day. This week is "Taint nobody's business if I do" and covers the record booms of the 1920's--Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Sippie Wallace and others. You can listen to it by web broadcast. Check out http://www.cbc.ca/theblues

Both CBC Radio One and Two are rebroadcast to match their time zones, so if you miss it in your time zone, you can listen to the web broadcast of a time zone after your own by finding the local city's webcast. So if you're in Eastern Time, and you miss it, you can hear it two hours later by listening to Calgary's webcast.
