Yeah, that is kind of weird, trips me up whenever I hear it. I feel bad about it, but it was not my fault. Oh well.

Juilius, last May, Yehoodi radio did replay all the old shows. So, Matt and everybody else's show may get resurrected again some day.

I just discovered this thread, and looked at the play list from last weeks show.

I'm very curioous to know how you pay the royalties for this music?

From the radio market side, the station I work for has been unable to get affordible royalty rights to pay for music being streamed over the internet.

It looks like Nathan's "I'm your DJ today on Yehoodi Radio" ID was accidentally put in the playlist there instead of his "You're listening to Yehoodi Radio" general one. I don't want to interrupt Matt's show right now by changing that station ID, but I will try to make sure it doesn't happen again. Thanks for pointing it out.

Nathan posted some good links. In case you didn't know this before, we use live365.com to broadcast our programming. Here is a bit more information from live365's legal FAQ:

Live365 has taken care of all U.S. musical composition performance royalties through its licenses with ASCAP, BMI and SESAC, and has taken care of U.S. sound recording performance royalties by complying with the terms of recently enacted.

this weeks Guest Thursday has to be my least favorite so far.

I am starting to think most "swing" DJs do not know the difference between a shuffle rhythm and a swing rhythm.

This Canadian, hailing from Vancouver, BC, takes his swing hard with a side of groove and a splash of funk.

Takes his swing hard? This has to be the softest "swing" I have ever heard if you were even brave enough to call most of it that.

Now I can see why people say what they say about the Vancouver dance scene if this is indicitive of the music that dominates there.

Thanks to Yehoodi for the continued exposure to new music for us DJs and dancers a like, even if we only learn what not to buy.

people are different.

believe it or not, i'm pretty open-minded about what gets played. but 70s soft rock? "i love it when we're groovin' together?" this is for lindy hop? the song after that is ... more lite funk or whatever you want to call it.

i don't know the dj at all and i have nothing against him, but this really bums me out.
