June Thursday Guest DJ: Kalman (Dallas, TX)
June brings us Kalman all the way from Dallas, TX. Here’s a little about Kalman:
"Kalman has been DJing in Dallas and around the country ever since people stopped having dances in places that served sweet, sweet alcohol. Somewhere along the line, he lucked into some money and bought enough CDs to tile his bathroom. Then somebody stole them and he had to buy them all back, which brings us around to today."
Tune in now to hear Kalman on Yehoodi Radio.
Enjoy!

That's supposed to be tagged as "Cotton Club Stomp." My bad, thought I checked that.
Bebop's at the back part of the set - some real fun stuff. Right now, it's Sandra Kaye and the James Gilyard Ensemble - a local gathering.

I wanted a show that would make anyone want to dance, that highlighted more small, hot jazz combos and had back-to-back Roy and Kalman announcements (tee hee). It needed to be exciting but not overwhelming, something you could come back to and not feel you had missed anything but still made you want to hear the whole set. Finally, since most of the audience is at work, I wanted it to be background but have the ability to draw the listener in from time to time and get them to pull up the Live365 playlist and go "did he just...?"
I hope it came through. If not, there's next year.
