July Thursday Guest DJ: George White (Austin, TX)

George "DJ Whitey" White from Austin, TX is our July guest DJ on Yehoodi Radio. Here’s a little about George:

"George has been djing in the Austin and Houston areas for approximately 3 years. His preference is classic swing sound of the 30's and 40's but he has also dabbled in Bebop, blues (all sorts of blues) and jazz of the sixties. His appearances include: Austin Lindy Exchange, Houston Lindy Exchange, Balboa Rendezvous, and Camp Jitterbug."

Enjoy! :)

I asked this on Yehoodi, but what would it take to Podcast this thing?

Can you imagine? Apple goes through all that trouble to protect the itunes music and then you can circumvent that by getting it free from some website.

Sorry mods, back to the regular programming. I like Sidney Bechet. Alot.

We're off for a week of camping in Northern CA, so here is the August Guest DJ announcement a few days early:

August Thursday Guest DJ: Keith "BigCash" Marszalek (New Orleans, LA)

Keith "BigCash" Marszalek from New Orleans, LA is our August guest DJ on Yehoodi Radio. Here’s a little about Keith:

"Spinning only "Made in New Orleans" music, Keith ads diversity to the national scene. His knowledge of the local music scene in New Orleans, and the city's influence on Jazz, Blues and Gosple is as extensive as his collection. Most of the selections are from bands still playing around town and are rarely heard outside of New Orleans, bringing a fresh new perspective for dancers to capitalize on. His music selection ranges from Gospel to Blues to Traditional Jazz as well as Classic New Orleans Rhythm & Blues. To hear more, plan a trip to The Big Easy... Might we suggest February 9-12, 2006 for Lindy Gras. New Orleans' live music Lindy Exchange!"

Enjoy! :)
