Yeah, Roy's next. I've listen to the show last weekend in Atlanta. Really good stuff. I've already asked him for a copy of the show

That brings me to a different topic. Could we have all the radio shows available for download at this or some other site? There are probably 1000 legal issues but would certainly be a good way to share good music.

Totally illegal; I wouldn't want to do ANYTHING to jeapordize this site.

I would like to hear more of the music people spin on Yeradio though ...how about airing the shows 2 days a week?

Hmmpf.

Maybe a "Best Of" day - voted by Yehoodites once a week (like Monday). The end listener might not appreciate us clogging the site with Guest DJs they've never heard of.

Maybe we could have our own radio station then?

Honestly though, I bet we are 75% of the Yeradio listen audience...any stats on that Jesse? Manu?

I was just thinking of starting a new Yehoodi poll to find out.

Ah, I'll do it anyway.

I think that's a good idea too... Thursdays are really tough for me.

This is lazy to ask this here instead of just looking myself, but does Live365 have the ability to listen to past shows or time shift in anyway. I was thinking maybe that would be one of their subscriber services?

I was thinking the exact same thing. I'd love to get my hands on some of those old shows ...

I'm up tomorrow as guest DJ, I might not be able to post my set list for a few days so I will post it now. I'm sure Jessie will make the official anouncement tomorrow. You will notice about 5 slow blues songs. In Chicago slow blues is popular so I included them as songs that I would likely DJ if DJing in Chicago.

I look forward to hearing feedback both positive or negative, if you don't want to post publicy please shoot me an email or PM. I am especially interested in how you think the transitions between styles work. It's something I have been working on.

May Thursday Guest DJ: Roy Rydbeck (Chicago, IL)

The month of May brings Roy Rydbeck from the Windy City to Yehoodi Radio. Here’s a little about Roy:

"Roy began DJing in Tampa, FL in 1998 to fill the void of danceable jazz music needed to grow the Lindy Hop community. In June of 2000, Roy moved to Chicago where he continued dancing and DJing and has spun at Fizz, Lindy by the Lake, Java Jive, Studio X, and Logan Square. Roy has also DJed at numerous National Lindy Hop events. Roy likes to mix a variety of swinging music styles between swinging blues, Big Band, mainstream jazz, and pre-1945 small jazz combos. Roy has recently been collecting slow blues music and has been invited to many swing events with slow blues rooms. For more info, check out Roy's website"

Enjoy!

NOTE: Yehoodi is currently transitioning to a bigger and better server. If you have any trouble connecting to it, you can always tune into Yehoodi Radio through Live365's site.

Trust Chicago to lay on the blues! I can't comment on the transitions, as some people expect me to work, the ogres.
