Mitch Capone Bad Blood Album

#1 Post by MC&TWG » Sat Jan 24, 2015 8:16 pm

I've just independently released my debut album "Bad Blood", I was heavily influenced by Big Band Swing & have featured a few Swing tracks on the album. Swing fans should be interested in the following tracks-
"Great Big Swingin' Thing" (16 piece big band)
"Shake This City"
"Not The Girl Next Door"
"Life's Highway"

Bad Blood on Band Camp-

Any Radio Dj's out there interested in playing my music, Please Email me at "mitchcapone001@gmail.com"

Thanks Mitch Capone

This is, at best, tangentially related to swing music. If it belongs on this board at all (and I don't think it does), it should go in the "other music" section.

Agreed. This doesn't belong here.

I disagree. This album is not quite the "bread and butter" of what the members typically discuss here on SwingDJs, but there are a few swinging numbers featured that might interest some DJs here. I'm personally digging "Shake This City" (and the relaxed blues shuffle of "Life's Hightway"). So no, I don't think it's entirely out of place.

I applaud the band for attempting to connect with our audience of DJs (though it looks like this will be a tough crowd to win over, Mitch!), and if anything, I wish more bands would reach out to us here to promote their albums!

Thanks for the mixed feedback, I'm well aware that most of the album isn't "Swing" which is why I noted the songs most related to Swing in order.
I've been a fan of Swing for a long time, Especially Sinatra-
"Come Swing with me"
"Songs for Swingin' Lovers"
"Sinatra & Swingin' Brass"
"Swing along with me"
"Swing easy"
"Sinatra Swingin' session" (Notice any patterns there? :)

I'm simply introducing you to what I've created. Doesn't bother me if you don't like it, I'm only interested in the people that do like it. This is a medium to connect with Swing Dj's, I'm using it because I think there are lot's of people out there that would appreciate some numbers on here.
The 3rd best clarinet player in the world scored the horn sections by the way.

Instead of stating "It doesn't belong here", Maybe open your mind a little, This is 2015 and I'm sure you would agree these songs are better than what you hear on most commercial radio stations.

Thanks JesseMiner glad to have you appreciate some songs on the album :) (Your cosmic GPS is working)!

Cheers Mitch
