Charlie Barnet's Penultimate Recording Session - 1967

Not his final session, I am now told, which seems to be a real gagger for Reader's Digest in which he plays 60s pop tunes.

This is good stuff!
I like "Boomerang" and "Introduction to an Ending" the most.

It's not a '40s sounding band' - more like 50s, but solida big band swing - very unlike the gruesome 60s.

I had this LP, but I do not remember these fine tracks! Superior!!

"Nice" "graphics", too.

"Boomerang" - great cut!

Also terrific - "Introduction to an Ending" - (partial cut)

Also played by-
Occidental College Jazz Band - (not bad at all)

Holy crap! My friend is playing in that jazz band (Occidental). She's the one closest to the camera on sax.
Thanks for sharing :)

Haha! Sure thing. Happy to. You never know what is going to turn up on YT.

They list a few mores tunes they play. She might be in those, too.
