The Chrono classic 1934-37, is a great CD. For me it's one of those CD's that I am listening to over and over again. I've done a little research into Chicago jazz and swing era artists. Here is a list of artists that I found who recorded under their own name in Chicago pre-1945. I have some of these artists but I see I have allot of CD's to buy.

His daughter, Catherine Rusell, is an amazing female vocalist who has sung for dancers in NYC. His widow, Carline Ray, is quite the accomplished bass player, (including having played in the Sweethearts of Rhythm), and I got to dance with her at Yehoodi's 5th Anniversary
