I figure I'm not the only one here that may want to unload a CD or two, maybe this thread will be useful. Otherwise it's just a vehicle for me to unload a CD.
Does anyone want to buy this Wilbur De Paris CD?

I was looking for a specific song and bought the wrong CD. Oops. It's 3 good Dixieland LPs collected in a 2-disc set.
I figure I'll give you folks first dibs before I sell it to the local record shop.
Send me a PM if you're interested.

That reminds me. Reuben, you said you were going to sell me a Charlie Parker CD, months ago. Do you remember that?
At least, I think it was Charlie Parker.

Gene Krupa: 1938-1941
I bought it for $4.30 or something. It's got good music with many vocals--I listened to the whole thing before I bought it. The sound quality's fine. I got it home and realized I already had every track on it.
If you're interested, I'll take it to the post office, find out how much it'd cost to mail it, and sell it to you at cost if I don't get around to returning it by Friday or it just seems easier to send it to you than drive back out to the suburbs.

mailing a CD costs about $1.25-$2.00, if you buy the envelope at the post office the envelope is $1.75 or $2. i recommend buying CD mailers, at officemax they are $2.45 for six.

I've never put much value in a jewel case--they're so easily replaceable.
When I buy a CD and pay $2.49 S&H, I expect a media mailer, of course!
However, for personal exchanges, my friends and I usually turn a grocery bag inside out, cut it to the proper size, tape it up, & mail the CD.
I'd only do more if specifically asked (and paid) to.
