After watching the ILHC Live and and on youtube it was interesting to note a return to the classic swing music. I noticed a lot of Artie Shaw was being used . Any specific trends in the music this year ?

I noticed the same.
About the slow dance, I was surprised by the music of the spot light. It was too fast to make slow drag and too new Orleans for swing out, because too heavy to make a good triple ...
