The Bryan Ferry Orchestra - The Jazz Age

#1 Post by SiMonster » Fri Dec 07, 2012 2:58 am

If you hear Bryan Ferrys name, you don't automatically connect it with swing music.

So it was pretty much a coincidence that I stumbled over this album:
13 swingin'instrumental cover versions of (more or less) famous swing songs. Sometimes it's pretty hard to hear through the original (Do the Strand)

I have to admit: I love it! What do you guys & girls think about it?

Cheers,
Simon

I also like "As Time Goes By" and especially the track "Lover Come Back To Me".

I have to admit: What I like about the new album is the fact, that Bryan Ferry does NOT sing and completely focussed on the arrangements.
In my humble opinion, his voice is extremely cheesy, but the new album is the BOMB :)
