I never heard of this band until an hour ago. Kansas City band...and the samples are pretty good.

Yes, I have these. Really great band. Some of the playing is a bit out of tune, but I'm sure they would have been fantastic live.

Look for the CD "Arkansas Shout" on Jazz Oracle for the best quality reissue.

Searching on Amazon, this fantastic CD has one of their tracks, as well as loads of other great stuff, all from the Columbia label and in good sound quality --->

Both of those seem really good with the CD "Arkansas Shout" on Jazz Oracle having 6 out of the 8 sides recorded by the ORIGINAL YELLOW JACKETS. Looks like one side went unissued and the other came out on the Japanese "Lucky" label.
