I see Lawrence beat me to it, but I'll post this anyway.

Yes, the Big 18 is a big band composed of swing-era sidemen that got together in the 50s and recorded two albums: Live Echoes of the Swinging Bands (Frankie often uses "Easy Does It" from this album in his classes) and More Live Echoes of the Swinging Bands. Both are definitely great ablums to have, but they are out of print and thus hard to find.

Jesse
I have burned copy of those.

Does anyone know the list of all the musicians on Big 18? It is not listed on Allmusic.com

Slipped Disc; Benny Goodman. The album is out of print and though I had a lead on a copy it was bought from under my nose.

Cote D'Azur Concerts On Verve; Ellington and Ella. Just haven't gotten around to getting it.

The liner notes have them.I don't have the notes with me, right now. I was going to post them yesterday, but figured nobody would really care. I mentioned the most notable players in my earlier post. I'll post them later if nobody else beats me to it.

Titan Hot Seven. Their discs are really hard to find, but Ivory Music has them.

"Jam in Music City" is also essentially a TH7 album, though it's officially Titan Hot Five with Bob Draga and Jeff Barnhart.

If you find another one please pick it up for me if you can. I'm so lazy about buying things online.

You know I would really like to own the hokey pokey and the chicken song. I've been joking with making peopel with birthday do one of these but I don't have either in my book.

Suddenly the topic of the thread changes to "Gloating about owning CDs that other people wish they owned." :-) (Kidding, Rayned.)

Without knowing it, you probably got the copy that was stolen from me in Chicago in 1998 or so!! (If you got it used). That was one of the CDs that I thought I would never get back.

I got the replacement from the insurance company's source when they replaced 75% of the CDs.
