How do I find out if Drop me off in Harlem ~ Louis Armstrong is in the public domain and if its not where do i find the rights to use it in a website?

The Armstrong/Ellington one from 1961?

That's going to be borderline in Europe--the 50 year term on copyright for performers was recently extended to 70. I don't know if works automatically qualify, or if the copyright owner has to do something. I suspect the former, in which case it's not PD in Europe, and won't be for another 20 years.

In the U.S. it's not, and at this rate, it never will be. Sigh.

I don't know about the rest of the world.

Unless it's from the pre-disney era, it's unlikely to be public domain.
Try googling the harry fox agency, if you feel like paying your licensing fees.
