This seems to be a new reissue label that issues all kinds of oldies music, including swing. I've been running into some of their releases lately on Amazon, Emusic, Spotity, etc. The sound quality is often quite good - in some cases very good - and they seem to be reissuing some material that is not available elsewhere. Here's some "new" stuff that I've found interesting so far:

Archive Of American Popular Music 1934-1945 (4 CD set)
Bob Crosby - The Very Best Of
Will Bradley - The Very Best Of
Isham Jones - The Very Best Of
Ben Pollack - The Very Best Of Swing

(Right now I'm enjoying "Peckin'" by Ben Pollack - the first ever recorded version, which I hadn't heard before.)

Written by Harry James, playing with Pollack at that time. Which...I'm sure the liner notes told you already.

Anyway, the U.S. amazon has a grand total of two albums by Master Classics: Bob Marley, and Mississippi John Hurt.

Emusic has tons, and they're all 12-credits-per-album (for another two days, I guess), including this one: Al Capone-Music He Lived and Died By--what a great album title!

I now realize that there are four volumes with 100 tracks each:

Archive Of American Popular Music 1895-1927
Archive Of American Popular Music 1893-1946
Archive Of American Popular Music 1934-1945
Archive Of American Popular Music 1946-1951

That Ben Pollack album sure contains some killer material - in ACE sound quality! Tracks by Ben Pollack And His Orchestra, Ben Pollack And His Californias, Ben's Bad Boys, The Rhythm Wreckers, Ben Pollack And His Pick-A-Rib Boys, from 1925 to 1950.

Check out this Ellington small groups collection:

http://www.amazon.com/100-Rare-Sessions/dp/B004PV7NKU/

(Also on Spotify, Emusic, etc.)

It has very good sound - in fact I bet 100 SEK that this is a rip off of the Mosaic set from 2006.
