A jazz blog I follow has news of a new Ellington CD that looks interesting:

Don't forget to also buy Storyville's 1940s Ellington 8-CD box from 2007!

Gotta love Storyville (they are Danish!) :)

I like that box a lot. Indeed, get it. It contains the Fargo concert, among other excellent things.

And I'm hunting for the Cotton Club CD. It hasn't appeared on Amazon in the U.S., so it may not be available here yet.

Following the trail of links, I ended up ordering this from musicroom.com

They've just emailed me saying that the order was cancelled, as the item had 'become unavailable' - which is odd for a new release.

Doubly odd in fact, as they're still listing it for sale on their site. Anyone else tried to or managed to buy it?

My order was cancelled as well - not sure what the problem is.
