I'm a bit mystified by this 12 credits/album that some of you are seeing. If I browse for instance, for a Skeets Tolbert album...
http://www.emusic.com/album/Skeets-Tolb ... 44100.html
...it says to me 20 credits, which is 1 credit/track.
On that basis the album is way more expensive than Amazon.

Have I missed something?

Hi Chris,

I use both eMusic and Amazon UK mp3 downloads.

Currently, you can download that whole album from Amazon UK mp3 downloads for £3.99, and individual tracks for 69p each (as Amazon say: Album Savings: £9.81 compared to buying all songs)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Skeets-Tolbert- ... 614&sr=1-2

By comparison, eMusic UK have the album at 20 credits, and tracks at 1 credit each, which I think means they are cheaper for single tracks, but more expensive for the whole album. The exact eMusic costs would depend on which price plan you are on, but for new eMusic users, 'eMusic Basic' charge 42p per track (meaning the Skeets Tolbert album would cost £8.40). Remember, as eMusic is subscription based, you have to manage your monthly downloads, otherwise you may end up wasting your subscription if it runs out.

When I buy downloads, I normally download individual tracks from both sites, but I hadn't realised what savings Amazon were offering on whole albums.

Those cheeky sods at Amazon have just upped the price of all those Classics albums from £3.99 to £4.99.
It's only a quid, but I had about 10 waiting in a wish list. Bah!!!
