This site simply put LPs on line and there are some scarce items here.

Positively scope out :

1,2,3 - Reader's Digest was leasing tracks from RCA. Rare tracks!
8, 21 - Glen Gray - hi-fi recreations of big band sides
26 - Johnny Bothwell - Great sax man from Krupa's band
29 - Big band remotes - live stuff
34 - Ted Heath - Swing Is King - Very well played in superb sound in stereo.
36 - Teddy Powell - never had a legit RCA reissue, so - bootlegs!

Likely more good stuff, but I am tired.....Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Sound quality will vary depending on the condition of the LP.

Yeah....cool.

Just want to add that those Reader's Digest box sets contain hundreds and hundreds of vintage Swing band sides from the 30s and 40s and even a few from the 50s. The sound was great and the box sets were never fewer than 4 LPs per box....all the way up to 10 LPs per box.

They can be had for a song at flea markets and garage sales and eBay. They are all fully annotated and were pressed on virgin vinyl.

They started coming out in the mid 60s and they continued to come out for maybe the next 25 years. Only a few made it out onto cassette and CD.

Aside from the big band compilation anthologies, they had individual sets for Shaw, Miller, Dorsey, Bing, IIRC, plus set like "Songs of the Early 30s", "...Mid 30s", "Early 40s" "War Years".

Incredible reissue series.
