Tokyo Boogie Woogie - 1946 (or so)

Do any DJs play this song from about 1946?

I have a 78 rpm copy somewhere which sounds a lot like this :

It was a smash hit in Japan after the war.

I had a Japanese guy in my store one time and I asked him what the lyrics were saying. He said they were really upbeat lyrics about all the interesting things in Tokyo. He also said that those were grim times in Japan after they lost the war and this song made people feel better.

I can't find the original on YouTube, but here are two girls knocking it out and they got the groove.

The original vocalist was female with a big band and the same boogie feeling that these two girls have. About the same tempo, too.

Quite a few versions on YouTube.

It might be fun to play at dance and here on the west coast with so many dancers who are Japanese or J. descent, you might have a nice novelty...until everyone else started playing it.
Will big bands ever come back?
