All Guitar Big Swing Band - Al Caiola

I had this LP for years before I ever played it b/c I thought it would be a corny novelty item. No way. Al Caiola assembled top big band and studio guitarists and wrote pout all the parts from classic big band Swing tunes.

Guitars playing in unison and harmony as a section, in addition to solos.

Really good.

I hope it is on CD.

The original LP was on UA aka United Artists and I have forgotten who picked up that catalog - Capitol/EMI, I believe.

is it overlapping/the same as this album? (The Manhattan Guitars Salute Big Band Era Classics; can't get a bigger view of the cover to see what Al Caiola actually has to do with it, but his name's on the cover...)

Good work! That's the one. They made it sound like a cheezy generic budget album. Marketing baffles me.
