...to Miss New Orleans?

I'm looking for a version that is relatively mellow in tempo (120-180), good sound quality, relatively romantic, and preferably sung by Louis Armstrong. If you can point me to any sound clips of your recommendation that would be awesome too (but I can look it up as well).

I have lots of versions but nothing that is agreeable to me AND the fiancee...

I like the one that Armstrong did over at Victor in 46 or 47. His horn sounds great, he sings and the record is beautifully recorded. A great late Louis side.

And I have heard a Teagarden that I liked a lot, too.

I wonder if they ever did the tune together?

Yes they did. I am listening to it right now :D

It's from the late 40s I think when they toured. I think I got it off "What a Wonderful World: in Concert", released 1994

Pops and Big T - the two most sincere and heartfelt singers in history.

ok. I doubt this is to your tastes but I really like the version Harry Connick Jr. and Dr. John do together. VERY romantic. on Harry's album "20".
