ANYWAYS... back on topic...
My personal favorite is the jazz guitar, but it said... which speaks to you?

I would have voted for the trumpet. On Thursday nights, I often go to a late night 'Jazz Jam' at a pub near me in South East London -
http://amjamjazz.blogspot.com/. Luckily, it's close enough to where I live that I can go out in the evening, and still get an hour or two of the Jazz Jam on my way home. All kinds of jazz are played, from Cole Porter to Miles Davis to Latin. It's often a great night with many superb musicians. On these nights, of all the solo instruments it's usually the trumpet that stands out for me. It can transform a mediocre number into a thrilling one.
So I would have voted for trumpet, but remembering that this forum is mainly about dance music, I voted for vibes. They've got that beautiful light rhythm that fits so well with swing dance music. Lionel Hampton on vibes, and Red Norvo on xylophone both really make things swing along for me.
