Yehoodi Radio Wants You!

#1 Post by JesseMiner » Fri Mar 23, 2007 9:42 am

Since we launched Yehoodi Radio in 2001, we have featured a different DJ every month on our Thursday Guest DJ show, enjoying sets by over 50 DJs from all over the world. That's a lot of DJs! Many are regular contributors to SwingDJs.com, and now we're looking to expand our search, tapping further into the SwingDJs.com community. If you think you might be up to the challenge of putting together a 4-hour set to share with the Yehoodi Radio listening audience, please send me an email at jesse@yehoodi.com or PM me here on SwingDJs.com.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Is there a list of past DJs some where that I could review before recommending some peeps? (i.e. I don't want to recommend someone who's already done it.)

Travis Whetman
Possibly too local to my scene to go on, but I like: Niki Amundson
Not sure if she's kept up DJing since she moved from Minneapolis, but I also like: Jojo Jackson

Thanks Paul. It's always nice being a fan of someone who's a fan of you.

On that note, I'd like to also recommend Jerry Almonte from DC! :)

Jerry Warwick from Dallas has always been one of my favorite unsung DJs. He is on this Board occasionally (Username: "wheresmygravy").

I'd second a Peter Loggins set, and suggest Russell from Canberra and Jonas from Sweden.

Yes I second Russell.
Russell is easily the leading Swing DJ in Australia at the moment. He has a love of a wide selection of swing music that he can keep any floor happy. Russell also was the pioneer Swing DJ on really giving talented Australian musicians good air time on the dance floor, which has help promote Australian jazz as a highly talented leading jazz scene that it is. He has DJ’ed at any major social event in Australia worth attending.
