I am the premier Glenn Miller expert on this forum.
Will big bands ever come back?

Rare Broadcast Performances From 1943-44 (Amazon link)
The Spirit Is Willing (Amazon link)

Some killer swinging songs on both!

Looks like you could fill out your Glenn Miller collection used from amazon.com for under $6 (after shipping). Now's that's a bargain! ;)

Jesse
quick update, I got both of these and have been playing a lot of tracks from them over the past couple of weeks.

Love the version of Sun Valley Jump and Tisket a Tasket off of the live broadcast album. The liner notes list an "unknown" vocalist on Tisket a Tasket. Anyone know who the vocalist is?

The vocalist is likely Gail Reese who also sang with Bunny Berigan's band.

She preceded Marion Hutton in the Miller orchestra.
