Montreal swing bands of the 1940's.

I've been doing some research in Montreal's jazz history from the 1930's - 1940's. There's an excellent book called:

Swinging in Paradise- John Gilmore

The book covers the history of Jazz in Montreal mentionning a large number of bands that played in my home town and the clubs & addresses where those bands played. At the high of Swing's popularity there used to be over 800 dancers who would show up for a dance at Westmount's Victoria Hall and wait for over 2 hours to get in. (Montreal was a popular destination for Americans to have a drink & fun during the prohibition).

I took down a number of names and thought I'd write the list here in case some of you might know of some recordings for these bands. Here goes:

Roland David's Orchestra
Johnny Holmes Orchestra
Vic Vogel's Band
Baker,Ernie, Barley, Brian Holgate
CBC trio
Jimmy Jones & Harlem Dukes of Rhythm
Nelson Symonds, Paul Bley
Maynard Ferguson
Guido Basso
Mynie Sutton & his Orchestra
Louis Melcafe
