What about "Come On Over To My House"?

It's on the following CDs: "Julia Lee & Her Boyfriends - Disc 1 : 1944 - 1947", or "Jay McShann: Jumpin' The Blues (Disc 1)". They are the same recording, and I don't think there is a significant difference in the quality of remastering.

By the way, I have never DJ'd... So I have no idea how dancers react to it.

I play the version off the "Jumpin' The Blues" disc, and it usually goes down quite well.

Wont You Come Over to My House? <The Real Kansas City of the 20's, 30's, and 40's>

I like Julia Lee w/ George E. Lee's Novelty Singing Orchestra.

It's more of a an old blues tune, but I like the way she sings it in this track.

I don't think I've ever played it as a last song though.

I sometimes close with "You Can Leave Your Hat On" Joe Cocker's version. I preface it with the comment "I'll leave you with a love song".

I know this is resurrecting a dying thread, but I have a couple:

Goodbye Baby- Great Googa Mooga (it actually swings decently)

Happy Trails- Van Halen (this is a bad a cappella version that will make everyone want to leave)

Closing Time- Semisonic Not a dancing song

Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye-Steam- not swing but classic

See ya Later Alligator- Bill Haley

Lately I've been closing with the 1:50 rendition of One O'Clock Jump that ends the Blues Alley album. It's nice because it's a hats-off to the nonexistent band, and I can follow it up with any style of dance I want for cleanup time.
