What are your favorite dance tunes from the 1940s? I'll be djing at the SFBalfest, and the theme of the night is "Back to 40s Stars and Stripes." In particular, I'm going to DJ a competition, so I'd love to listen to your suggestions.

Charlie Barnett has some good songs from the '40s that would work for a contest. I think his Flying Home is from 1940. Sadly his Last Jump and Clap Hands are from '39.
