Slim Gaillard film sighting

Watching the1942 feature film STAR SPANGLED RHYTHM tonight for the first time in ages and there is Slim Gaillard (in a close up) with his hands flailing in the air over a piano keyboard in the Eddie "Rochester" Anderson/Harlem/Zoot Suit segment of the film. There is a bass player in the shot, too.
A few seconds and he is gone.
Very odd. He doesn't really play on screen, just gets a close up. Wasn't listed on the IMDB.
