Chick Webb
My young collection doesn't include any Chick Webb yet. Could you give some recommendations? Thanks.

I highly recommend the album "Strictly Jive". Andy Reid recommended this one to me a while ago, and I can't say enough positive things about it. There are so many great songs on this album, and I play songs from it pretty much every time I DJ.
You might also want to check out some early recordings of Ella Fitzgerald fronting Chick Webb's band. "The Early Years, Part 1" is a fairly extensive 2-CD collection of those recordings.

Chick webb's intire collection of recordings is not hard to obtain, since he died early. I recommend getting everything he did.
