Does anyone have the following title by Mosaic:

The Complete Blue Note Recordings of Sidney Bechet 4 CD boxed set.

I have been looking for this on several used CD web sites, but have been unsuccessful.

I hear the set is awesome.

PM me!

five minutes yielded the following:

6 lp's, $300.

just cd 4 for $9 on ebay.

or just get the complete blue note masters on definitive for $15. at that price, i don't see why you would not.

Hmm - I already have the Complete Blue Note 1939-1951 Master Takes [IMPORT] and the recording quality is a 6/10. I am sure Mosaic did a spankariffic job remastering the stuff. I played "Copenhagen" from the cd at a dance and was taken aback at the poor sound quality.

Surely someone on this forum has all four CD's in this set by Mosaic.

I might have it, but I need to go home and look at my CDs to check. (I'm not as organized as most of you...)

If they did, do you think they would actually part with it?

glenn, i just saw the lp version at jazz record center in manhattan for $150. that seems a pretty good price. if you're anywhere near new york, perhaps that helps.

i didn't listen to it, but the people at the store are very accomodating and would probably be happy to put it on for you if you want to compare it to the definitive version.

I don't own the Mosaic, but I have the proper set. The proper is great, but I'm not certain how much is dance music.
