This is a completely brilliant blog. Right now he's doing a series on 1954 which includes articles on hard bop and Big Maybelle, which may be "beyond the pale" for some of us DJs, but the writing is fantastic. I can't say enough about how good this blog is. It's incredible. It's the best. Go read it, please.
