Les Brown = Artie Shaw

Kind of......
Before Les Brown went all kind of bland a lot of the time, he had himself a really good swing band from about 1938 to 1939 or so.....and it sounded a lot like the Shaw band of the period.
Good charts, good band that had come out of Duke University and Les Brown played really good clarinet.
These were all Bluebird sides and most of them have never seen a legit release....mostly bootlegs.
Good stuff.
