Great interview! I hadn't caught a show in a while, I think I picked a good one.

The rhythm and blues drumming book sounds really interesting. Daniel needs to write a similar book on early swing and jazz drumming.

Last time I talked to him, that's actually on his to-do-list.

He first did a book on Rock n' Roll Drumming (1948-1980), then this latest book is on Rhythm and Blues from 1940 through 1960.

With his project with the Rhythm Club All-Stars, he's been accumulating a lot information about jazz and swing druming from the 1930s, though it might be a few years till you see a book on that, FYI.
