Great shows Jesse. (Somehow, I missed the January one, so I've just had a double helping of January and February in one go). What I particularly like about these shows is the amount of music you play 8)

You featured the Rock and Roll DJ Alan Freed on the show. I discovered Alan Freed put his name to a big band which recorded some tracks in the 1950s. It was called The Alan Freed Rock'N'Roll Band but some of the tracks swing nicely. Check out the album Alan Freed's Rock N' Roll Dance Party on eMusic. I like the tracks Easy Rock and John Thompson.

Great stuff! I had only heard "Right Now Right Now" before on the Rhino compilation "Blues Masters, Vol. 13: New York City Blues". Thanks for the suggestion.

A quick note on the Three Peppers, many more recordings are available on eMusic outside of the US (at least in Canada).

There are two complete CDs:
Complete Jazz Series 1937 - 1940
Eddie Cole & The Three Peppers

and one of their recordings is featured on this compilation:
Vocal Group Magic
