How weird. I started listening to the sound samples and, though I'm not sure how much of this I'd force on a lindy crowd (we lost our obsessive Charleston jammers a couple of years ago and only have 2 leads at best on any one night who like to lead a whole song of partner Charleston) I think people would love to hear it recreated by one of my boyfriend's bands.

After all, dancers tend to be more forgiving of live music. People who hate "a night of nothing but old janky s*** that doesn't make me want to swing out" will say, "That was great!" after hearing the same style of music from a live band at an event.

My boyfriend's a guitarist, so this music would give him a chance to play something besides hot club music yet be audible throughout the song.

The strange part:
The guitarist in the Three Peppers has the same name as this guitarist I'm asking to cover their music!

Is it destiny?

For those fans of MBRB a new release on ASV. Will be interesting to see what the remastering is like. I have ordered my copy :)

I just bought this a few days ago. It is excellent, but since I don't have any of the Hep, Chronogical (sic) etc CDs I can't compare sound quality. It is pleasing to MY ears however.

I highly recommend Harlem Heat, but it's the same with me - I haven't heard a hard copy, genuine CD of the other MBRB discs so I can make no comparisons. However I was still impressed.

Well after nearly 3 years of looking, today I finally got may hands on Classics' Mills Blue Rhythm Band 1936-1937!

I'm feeling lucky - maybe I should search for that Three Peppers CD while I'm in the zone. :lol:

Also found the Mills Blue Rhythm Band 1936-1937 on there too.
