All right, after almost a year of looking for this disc I'm ready to call it quits or cave and ask for help.

I've been looking for about a year too. Some places will list as having it as available but then can't fulfill it when you order it :(

What's the bet that as soon as i give in and pay $50 for it , someone will release a comprehensive remastered set of the entire Mills Blue Rhythm Band catalogue :P

You can generally be sure that the sellers on "Gemm" will have it in Stock.
You can also email them before hand, and they will get back to you quickly.
I actually picked up that exact CD in "Sam the Record Man" in Toronto two years ago. I was really impressed with their collection, but you can not be 100% sure they actually have it in stock now and that they will ship it in 2 weeks.

What put me off on Gemm was that when you go to place your order you get the info that the listing merchant has a 60% (in one instance) or a 26% (in another) fulfillment rate on placed orders. So it would seem that the merchant lists it without necessarily having it in stock.

No luck at the brick and mortar... though they had plenty of other CC discs.

You can also try A & B Sound (a Western Canadian retailer).

I've had issues with special-orders at my local A&B Sound store (in Saskatoon) however I've ordered on-line from them 3 or 4 times with no problem. Usually a good chunk of my order is special-order stuff. Everything always arrived within the specified time window or earlier.

Their prices used to be quite cheap but the company was having some financial issues last year and post-resturcturing has been operating on higher margins (ie Proper boxes went from CAD$28 to CAD$32).
