DJ Challenge

#1 Post by Panzer70 » Thu Dec 08, 2005 8:41 pm

Hi,
My name is Tom and I'm a rather new DJ to the Chicago Scene (been dancing for years now). I've been a regular DJ at Java Jive for awhile now and I'm one of the new amateur DJs at Fizz. Additionally, I have spun at other various events here and there (not too many). I think I've done ok thus far. I would like to add some new music to my collection and would also like to challenge all of you at the same time while asking for suggestions.

Hypothetically, if you had to spin at a 1.5 to 2 hour event and only allowed to have 15 CD's plus 3 backups (18 Total) which ones would they be?

Here's is a list of my choices.
(Greatest Hits and mutli discs sets ok but no homemade mixes)

Gölz Alsmann
1. Gestatten

Basie
2. Williams Sings Basie Swings
3. The Complete Atomic Basie

It's a good list , but I'd throw the Frankie compilation there. And it seems like a crime that you don't have a single CD for Duke, Ella and Louis Armstrong.
