Stuff Similar to The Three Sounds??

Hi, Everyone!

I just love catchy piano "clappers" such as the following 3 songs on Gene Harris and the Three Sounds' album "Live at the Lighthouse":

Held my Head in Shame
Makin' Bread Again
Bad Bad Whiskey

Gene Harris has a lot of similar stuff on his solo recordings for Concord, but most of the tracks are way too long to play for dancers. Are there any other pianists with a similar feel?

By the way, I've read that G.Harris has been criticized for playing music that's "too accessible." Who wants "accessible" music? Certainly not dancers! Hah!

In Dave's absence I can mention Paul Tillotson, Ramsey Lewis, Benny Green, and Eddie Thompson.

Who's Gene Harris?

I'm pretty sure he was a piano player... born in Benton Harbor, MI, recorded some 10 albums for Blue Note with his trio in LA, and retired to Boise, ID... with a few other things in between.
